The community of Minnesota is mourning the death of Anna Melicher, of Eveleth, whose life was tragically cut short in a traffic collision. Her passing has left family, friends, and loved ones heartbroken as they remember the kindness and joy she brought to those around her.

Anna, a graduate of Eveleth-Gilbert Senior High School who studied at St. Cloud State University, was remembered as a cherished friend whose presence made a lasting impact on many. According to friends, Anna was a passenger in a serious car accident while returning home from a road trip. She did not survive the collision, while her boyfriend, Chase Schaffer, sustained significant injuries and continues to receive medical treatment. A fundraiser has been established to assist with Chase’s recovery and to help cover Anna’s funeral expenses as loved ones rally around both families during this difficult time.
