Family, friends, and members of the Connecticut music community are rallying around musician and Connecticut Blues Society member Eran Troy Danner after he was critically injured in a devastating motorcycle accident in New York. As he continues to fight for his life, loved ones have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help support his long and challenging recovery.
According to his family, the accident occurred on Monday, June 29, 2026, during what was intended to be an overnight motorcycle trip to Woodstock, New York. While riding through Millerton, New York, Eran and a close friend were involved in a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle. Tragically, his riding companion died in the crash, leaving family and friends mourning an unimaginable loss.
Eran sustained catastrophic injuries and was first transported to Sharon Hospital before being airlifted to Vassar Hospital. Later that same day, he was flown again to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, where he underwent multiple emergency surgeries. He remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit as doctors continue performing lifesaving and reconstructive procedures.
His family says Eran has suffered extensive injuries requiring numerous surgeries, multiple blood transfusions, and a lengthy rehabilitation process. Although he has endured life-altering trauma, they remain grateful that his hands and face were spared and are holding onto hope that one day he may again be able to play the music he loves.
Beyond his medical battle, Eran’s loved ones say his greatest concern will be being separated from his beloved son, who has always been the center of his life. Family members are traveling regularly to be by his bedside while also working to ensure his home and financial responsibilities remain secure during what is expected to be a prolonged recovery.
The Connecticut Blues Society has asked members and supporters to keep Eran and his family in their prayers while encouraging those who are able to contribute to the GoFundMe established by his sister. The organization has also indicated it is working with the family and may announce a community fundraiser in the coming weeks.
As Eran continues his fight toward recovery, an outpouring of prayers, donations, and messages of encouragement has demonstrated the profound impact he has had on fellow musicians, friends, and the broader community. His family remains hopeful that, with continued medical care, faith, and community support, he will overcome the tremendous challenges that lie ahead.
Those wishing to help can do so by contributing to the GoFundMe campaign, sharing the fundraiser, or simply keeping Eran Troy Danner, his son, his family, and everyone affected by this tragedy in their thoughts and prayers.
