Gary Foezz Obituary, ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that left 21-year-old Gary Foezz dead Tuesday night at a convenience store in south St. Louis.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), officers were dispatched shortly before 9:15 p.m. to reports of gunfire at the Speedway Market located in the 4700 block of South Spring Avenue in the Dutchtown neighborhood.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Gary Foezz inside the store suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators have not yet released details regarding what led to the shooting. It remains unclear whether the victim and the suspect knew each other or whether the incident was targeted. Police have also not confirmed any suspect information at this time.

The SLMPD Homicide Division is actively leading the investigation. Detectives are continuing to gather evidence, speak with witnesses, and review any available surveillance footage from the area in an effort to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities say the investigation remains ongoing. Police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward to assist with identifying those responsible.
