Cynsire Keyasia Love Obituary, WILMINGTON, DELAWARE — A Wilmington shooting investigation has resulted in murder charges following the death of a 20-year-old woman who was critically injured earlier this month in the Cypress Cove development. Authorities confirmed that Cynsire Keyasia Love, 20, succumbed to her injuries after being transported to a local hospital with life-threatening gunshot wounds.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers initially responded to a residence in the Cypress Cove area of South Turners Run on June 16, 2026, shortly before 10 p.m. First responders found Love suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside the residence and immediately rushed her to NOVANT New Hanover Regional Medical Center for emergency treatment.
Investigators stated that preliminary findings suggested the shooting was domestic-related. At the time of the initial response, no suspect was in custody, and the case remained under active investigation as detectives worked to identify and locate the person responsible.
On July 1, 2026, Wilmington Police issued an update confirming that a 19-year-old man, identified as Anthony Nasir Sincere Hardy of Wilmington, had been arrested in connection with the shooting. Authorities charged Hardy with First Degree Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.
Police confirmed that following the investigation, Hardy was taken into custody and is currently being held without bond at the NHSO Detention Facility as he awaits court proceedings. Officials did not release additional details regarding the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
